In the Osteria Ballarò, the operators Giovanni Spartano and Marco Selvagio are at the stove themselves. Both are from Sicily. Govanni from Agrigento ran the Vale un Peccato on Heidelberger Platz for more than 15 years, Marco from near Noto was most recently at the fireplaces in Amici Amici in Kreuzberg.
